Therapy Service

Therapy Service

My name is Simone Mark, and I am the Creative Psychotherapist at Bramley Grange Academy. I have over 10 years of experience supporting young people and their families who are trying to navigate the complexities and challenges of daily life in various Local Authority and educational settings. I feel privileged to be part of each young person's journey and to support them in reaching ‘their’ potential within our school and beyond.

At Bramley Grange, I am passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of every pupil. My role is to provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgemental therapeutic space where young people can feel heard, understood and valued. Through building trusting relationships, I work alongside pupils to help them explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them. My approach is compassionate, creative and trauma informed - recognising that every young person is unique.

The Therapy Service offers all pupils access to a young person-centred environment, tailored to meet their individual needs. Through therapeutic support, pupils are encouraged to explore difficult feelings, emotions and life experiences in a safe and supportive way. This process helps them develop a greater understanding of themselves, build emotional resilience, strengthen coping strategies, and make sense of the challenges they may face.

In addition to planned therapeutic interventions, pupils are able to self-advocate and access short-term 'Drop-In' sessions when they have immediate worries, concerns, or issues they would like support with.

All therapeutic work is delivered within the school's safeguarding framework, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every young person remains at the heart of the service.

Our Creative Psychotherapist is registered with the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), a professional body accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), ensuring the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
